Initial goal reached! Thank you very much! Let's talk about stretch goals

Funded in just under 2 hours! 

We are astounded by your support and can't thank you enough! With these first 15K € we have achieved the initial goal of the campaign, to help fund (at least partially) the amazing physical editions that our partners Tesura Games will produce and distribute.

As per usual, once we have achieved the initial goal, we have entered into the domain of the stretch goals!

 Stretch goals

Making a game, and specially a 3D game, can get very expensive. As you can see, our team has got quite big (from 5 people in the first Sword of the Necromancer to 11 now). That means that we had to make some compromises and cut the scope of the project in some areas (the amount of music, scenarios, game modes, etc) in order to make it feasible.

The additional funds obtained in this campaign will be destined to fund those aspects of the game that we had to cut. Sometimes that means adding more of what we already have in the game, sometimes it's new game modes, and some others it's crazy ideas.

As you can imagine, the more complex features will be further in the stretch goals. Without further ado, we introduce you the first stretch goal and next objective in the campaign:

Additional Voice Lines

The game currently will feature full voice acting in all the CG scenes and some of the "regular" dialogues (the ones with the dialogue boxes and portraits at the sides). The rest of the dialogues would use little sentences and grunts to convey the tone of the conversation, but wouldn't be fully dubbed, as they are less important.

If we reach this stretch goal, we would use those funds to have more of those scenes fully voice acted, both in English and Japanese.

Social Stretch Goals

If you've looked at the campaign, you've seen a paragraph speaking about "social stretch goals". 

We set some goals we can achieve with your help, and when we have reached enough of them, we commit to put a new thing in the game (a new weapon, a set of costumes, etc.). That way, even people who can't afford to back the project, or can't contribute much money, can help make the project bigger!

These "social stretch goals" are focused on social media milestones, like retweeting a certain tweet, or having a certain number of likes in a YouTube video.

We have already reached 2 Points, which means that all backers will receive a free DLC with basic building materials to help them reconstruct Euda!

  • [2pt] Building Material pack: Starter pack for the City Builder [ACHIEVED!]
  • [5pt] New Weapon: Katana: New weapon type with its own combos and special charged attack, this one has been folded a thousand times
  • [10pt] Extra Costumes: SOTN Original Costumes: Original SOTN costumes for Tama and Koko and Sanzo's outfit for Kara.* 
  • [15pt] New Weapon: Naginata: New weapon type with its own combos and special charged attack, use the Naginata's long reach to slash your enemies from afar!
  • [20pt] New Shield: Aegis Shield: A special shield with tremendous defensive capabilities.
  • [30pt] Extra Costumes: Alternative Outfits: Bandit Queen outfit for Tama, High Priestess outfit for Koko, Prince outfit for Kara.*
  • [40pt] New Weapon: Dual Knives: New weapon type with its own combos and special charged attack,  assault your enemies with the knives rapid strikes!
  • [60pt] New Boss: Whispike Queen: Fight against the mother of all Whispikes in a sidequest that would be located in the Alas Forest dungeon!
  • [100pt] Extra costumes: Swimsuit: Who doesn't like to take a dip from time to time?*

*Costumes will be an equippable accessory that will change the character's appearance in addition to give them stat boosts and passive Attributes.

Keep sharing and interacting with Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant in social media to unlock the rest of items! Remember that all the unlocked items will be available as a free DLC for all backers, and won't be done unless they are unlocked! This is extra work for us (modelling the skins, making the new weapons, the extra boss...) but we'll do it gladly as a thank you for helping us promote the game!

Featured Game

As the current stretch goal has to do with voice acting, this is a great opportunity to talk you about The Hayseed Knight, a Visual Novel made by Sandra "Maxi" Molina, or SandraMJ, who is the Voice Director for Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant (and the original Sword of the Necromancer too!) and features the voice of Abigail Turner (Koko in SOTN).
